Susanne Weible is the Citizen Patriot librarian. Susanne joined the
newspaper in 1989 after working several years as a library assistant
at the Jackson District Library. A Jackson native, she attended both
parochial and public schools before furthering her education at
Jackson Community College and Michigan State University. Susanne
manages the electronic archive for text and photos and maintains the
traditional library files. A history buff, she writes “Our History,”
a weekly feature that focuses on Jackson County. She became a Master
Gardener in 1998 and loves the outdoors. She also enjoys home
improvement projects at her Summit Township home. Susanne has three
adult children and one spoiled grandson. Two dogs and two cats also
keep her company. Of course, as a librarian she’s an avid reader and
likes writing and photography.
