Karen Steiner is responsible for creating breaking news informational
graphics, news story graphics, business art and feature story illustrations.
She also designs feature pages. Although she is on the editorial staff, she
handles requests from every department at the newspaper including
advertising design, promotion artwork and classified design. She has a
Bachelor of Fine Arts degree fro Kendall College of Art and Design. She
joined the Jackson Citizen Patriot in 1980 as an artist in the Display
Advertising department. Since then artwork needs at the newspaper have
shifted from advertising to editorial. In her spare time Karen enjoys
gardening, decorating and traveling. She and her husband, Robert, live in
Jackson with their four children and six pets.
