Roberts covers business and planning and has a weekly column on business developments. He has covered a variety of beats for the Jackson Citizen Patriot, where he has worked since late 1998. He previously worked at the Sandusky (Ohio) Register and several weekly newspapers in the Cleveland and Akron, Ohio, area. He graduated from Kent State University in 1988 with a journalism degree. He has received several awards.
