Mike Reed works as a photographer and lab technician at the Citizen Patriot, maintaining and repairing processing
equipment, making reprints, archiving images on computer, filing negatives, as well as shooting studio portraits
and general assignments. Active in community theater for more than 20 years, Reed has appeared in numerous
productions and directed a number of shows for The Jackson Civic Theatre, the Clark Lake Players, and other theater
companies. Reed is also the founder of and bass man for the GelCaps, an a cappella doo-wop group in the style of the
'50s street-corner groups. When not performing, or at the newspaper, Reed enjoys golfing, boating, and spending
time with his wife, Christine.
