Debbie joined the Citizen Patriot copy desk in March 2006. A graduate of Central Michigan University with a major in journalism, Debbie returned to Michigan in December 2005 after working as a copy editor/page designer at the Daytona Beach-News Journal in Florida. A native of Hillsdale County, Debbie began her career as a reporter at the Hillsdale Daily News. She has also worked as a copy editor, lifestyle editor and presentation editor at the Battle Creek Enquirer and returned for a second stint at the Hillsdale Daily News as managing editor. She and husband live in Hillsdale.
