Kristin Longley has been covering Jackson County and Summit Township
for the Citizen Patriot since she joined the staff in February 2007.
She graduated from Michigan State University in 2006 with a degree in
journalism and a specialization in criminal justice. She has interned
at The Flint Journal and Scripps Howard Foundation wire service in
Washington, D.C., and also has worked for The Associated Press in its
Detroit bureau.
Kristin grew up in Grosse Pointe Woods, and has a younger sister, two
older brothers and a high school sweetheart of many years. She loves
dogs and enjoys camping, canoeing and shoe shopping. She lives in the
city of Jackson.
