Holly Klaft joined the Citizen Patriot as a reporter in May 2008. She
covers county government, township governments, social services and
politics.
She worked as a reporting intern for The Flint Journal for eight
months covering the Flushing and Swartz Creek areas, and was a summer
reporting intern at the Citizen Patriot in 2007.
Holly graduated from Michigan State University with a bachelor’s
degree in journalism in August 2007. She also worked as a reporter,
editor and copy editor for the university’s student newspaper, The
State News.
She was born and raised in Macomb Township, which is about 30 miles
northeast of Detroit. She graduated from Dakota High School in 2003.
Holly enjoys cooking and spending time outdoors.
