Steve specializes in agriculture and outdoors issues, court news, deadline hard news, human-interest stories and just plain weird people, places and things. A graduate of Hillsdale College, he teaches journalism there and also farms part-time near Pittsford. He came to the Citizen Patriot in 1988 from the Saginaw News. Before that he was a reporter and assistant city editor at the Wilkes-Barre Times Leader and a reporter at the Hillsdale Daily News. He and his wife, Sandy, have four children.
