Bill Chapin became the Citizen Patriot’s entertainment reporter in
November 2007. Prior to that, he spent six years covering art,
entertainment and features at the Times Herald in Port Huron. A
native of Plymouth, he is a 2001 graduate of the Medill School of
Journalism at Northwestern University in Evanston, Ill. He has
interned at Automotive News in Detroit, the Charlotte (N.C.) Observer
and Corporate Legal Times in Chicago. He lives in Jackson with his
longtime feline companion, Pica. Bill comes from a musical family
and, in addition to singing, he plays guitar, mandolin, accordion,
trumpet and kazoo. He still occasionally performs with his folk-rock
band in Port Huron. He also enjoys sailboat racing with his father.
